We have a long-term dilemma for we have a short-term body. The shifting nature of human emotions is like the seaweeds on the bottom of the ocean, floating around according to the different currents passing by. Our love and joy, our betrayal and hates, and many things in between wave within the thoughts and choices we make in our everyday life. One cause for our desire for intimacy is to extend our limited selves. We attempt to know others and to love someone also help to achieve one of the greatest efforts of self-realization. Digital space has a certain stability so much more so than the real space we inhabit. Digital space is a realm that exists in-between life and death while it belongs to neither. Digital space can be treated as neutral. You may choose to attach meaning and thoughts to it, but its nature does not necessarily change. In a way, digital space is rather constant, the little piece of eternity that we can encounter in our everyday modern life.

A short experimental film that shows and follows the construction work of two new buildings in Amsterdam, from the thirst moment to the moment when they are finished. Starting with nothing we go to something, but there is also the chaos and randomness of a construction site. And when the two buildings are finally finished, the animation changes to video. After all, finished is finished. And well, construction workers sometimes listen to music, sometimes they do not, but in this video we do listen to music.

A corkscrew with a screw loose battles a giant glass bottle to uncork seven magical lightning bugs trapped inside. CORKY is my debut independent short animation. It was animated out of my apartment, over a 6 year period. While the short was generated with a computer, every object, sound, and surface was carefully created with imperfections to achieve a handcrafted style for a magical storybook feel. This handcrafted style was also woven into the original score where kitchen items were incorporated as instruments. The animated short has no dialogue. The story relies on visual story telling to express its themes of acceptance despite appearance and gratitude through understanding. In today's world, perhaps this tiny reminder can go a long way. Uncork the magic!!

Every person living in this boundless world of ours is unique: we all have our eccentricities. Life is meant to be a little strange. When we meet people whose eccentricities are compatible with our own, we often long to join those people. When two similarly strange people connect, they often adopt of a manner of interacting whereby they amplify each other's eccentricities. This is true love. Through this animation, I'm trying to tell a story about finding true love and to become who you really are.

A house, a tree, a grandmother- somewhere far away. A film about the little things, a film about the things that we love. A story so close and authentic that makes us think: what do we lose in our permanently busy daily lives. And what do we sacrifice by moving to the big city, looking for a better life.

"To Be" is about a whole chunk of human society being stranded, from unborn fetus to the decrepit, seeking a venue whence they can establish a living, braving perils on this mission the lesser of which they wouldn't dare face in their home country. It is not about weathering a storm and coming to safety, it is about storming one unfriendly climate after the next. The question is: what it takes "to be"? This short movie is an attempt to answer this question, or in other words to establish whether it is better to stay put rather than brave the hardship of a migrant's life. Is a good part of humanity entrapped in forced hardship befallen their homelands by long past events and bequeathed by their ancestors? In ?To Be?, we tried to pose these questions, and we used dolls to pose them. Dolls have inherent movement restriction, and the dolls used are not those particularly suited to animation; more importantly, dolls are lifeless, they don't possess a living, and this conveys some resemblance to the state of those who have "left" but have not "arrived" and are not "settled" yet; those who are in flight from chaos and soon find themselves in chaotic flight; and even if they survive it, there is no guarantee that the asylums they newly secured would secure a living for them.
