My thesis for my BA in Graphic Design Department of UniWA is a short animation film about "Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe", a program of the CE. Especially, I presented 7 "Cultural Routes" that Greece participates in.
“Viandes et Poisson” pulls you into the world of experimental hip-hop group Choolers Division, whose members are artists-in-residence at the art brut center La S in Belgium. From a humorous crescendo of energy, they create a new song, setting intuition and emotion to a beat, giving a glimpse into a cacophony of deep friendship and unbridled creativity in a world that often seeks to ignore them.
The (W)hole is a 2D animated allegory based on my BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder) experience and self-healing process. It is about a girl who finds a hole in her body and embarks on a journey of filling it. On the way, she goes through imagined abandonment and faces her distorted self-image. Finally, she sees the answer is not on the outside, but in a reconciliation that happens deep inside.
Lien Mourlen a peaceful and kind lady, receives a letter and heads to the shore to see the ship coming. Unfortunately, a sudden storm does not allow ships to arrive and Lien, disappointed, leave the letter to slip from her hand. The strong wind takes the letter high on the moon and wakes it up. As the moon reads the letter with enthusiasm a fascinating dance starts. Suddenly the wind blows again the letter away from the moon which now stand all alone with a bittersweet feeling. Then from sadness, exhales so strong that the clouds were disappeared affecting not only the rain but Lien’s Mourlen life. Is a film of faith and optimism. Α series of chain conditions that the protagonist does not know lead to a happy outcome. A universal influence with a happy ending and an unusual story of very common people.
