The Wise Cat is adapted from Taoist Philosopher Zhuangzi's "An Old Fisherman." In the original story, a person tires exhausts himself trying to escape his own shadow. “The Wise Cat” in this film faces a similar challenge, fleeing in fear from its own shadow. How does the cat break free from its own scary shadow and earn the title of "Wise"? Instead of running endlessly, the cat observes a wiser approach—by solving the problem in an opposite way.
